Samuel Wassell’s granddaughter was born in Barrow workhouse in 1907 she was adopted by my grandfather Joseph Cockin she married in 1939 to Jonathon Winder in Ulverston but put her name as Wassell and listed Samuel as her father. she died 24 may 1960 aged 53 and is buried in Ulverston cemetary

I am now trying to put it into some nice easy to use presentation for my decendents and family. Your dedication to your research is outstanding. My grandfather arthur james sturt had a brother alfred who married minnie Beadle nee eade so we are related I was born sturt and lived in earlswood minnie was my fathers auntie so her children would be his cousins , I now live in scotland and trying to trace tree from here is difficult. Another branch found so today is a good day…bye
